Travel Tip: Never sleep after Dhanbad when your train is passing through stations like Bholldih, Nimiaghat, Guraru, Paraiya, Gujhandi, Dilwa, Gurpa, Paharpur, Manpur, Dehri-On-Sone, Sasaram and Babhua Road since these areas are well-known for insurgency and robberies on trains. Kindly stay vigilant during sleep mode also when your train passes through these stations after Sunset... thanks!!!

I can understand as it's the force from UP that knows about anti-social elements from neighboring states entering into their state... jurisdiction issues are always a problem that such gangs take advantage of and this loop-hole of the law needs to be filled :-p

Yes... cities like Varanasi and Mughalsarai fall into UP's Chandauli District that shares State Borders with Bihar so an element of security risk always prevails.... the political situation in Bihar can escalate it's law and order problem even more.... God save us (Common People of India) :-/

Yes in plain and simple terms they referred to them as "Bihari Gangs". I actually got only my passport back after a month which was found by a Buddhist Monk in Gaya. By then I had got my new passport from US Consulate at Chennai. I still keep it as a souvenir.

Sorry to know about all these thefts. While carefulness is surely needed, chaining of our luggages is also a must. Furthermore, we should not be careless in any place thinking it is safe.
