So that means, if they plan correctly, the return can be made to arrive by nite 9 or 10 at YPR instead of next day morning 3.
What is Chalukya doing in YPR for 3 hours in precious morning time? Because of this problem, many trains like BKN are getting shifted to odd timings. If you are particular about Chalukya's timings, please suggest few concrete proposals to avoid Platform occupation by Chalukya at YPR. Let it come to YPR by 0630 and leave at 0700. There is no issue at all.
In its extended run from PDY/ TEN, it is creating more problems to long distance pax as well as trains originating from YPR.

As suggested by Navin, it can start little early and TT can be adjusted by 1-2 hours in its run upto Kalyan. From Kalyan to YPR, it can run in 21 hours. In total, it can reach YPR by night 10 PM instead of ghost time of 0315. This is applicable for Barmer AC exp also.
I am totally not in favour to change Chalukya's timings b/n YPR-DR. Chalukya can start late from TEN to arrive late at YPR so that the idle time can be avoided. If it starts around 17:00 hrs from TEN, it can arrive around 06:00/06:30 at YPR hence the problem can be avoided..
OK. What about PDY Chalukya? Delayed start can not be the solution for this, since it will pass through VM-KPD stretch (which are the intended connectivity towns for this extension) will be at ghost hours and will be opposed by pax at in these stations. Can you suggest something different for this also?
My suggestion would be to start PDY Chalukya by 1130 or 1200 and reach YPR by night 2000 and proceed further. From YPR upto MRJ, it can follow 2040 slot (earlier used for MRJ spl) and reach DR by evening 1900.
