Why no proposal was not sent / got approved before summer season started? Reflects poor planning. Coastal Karnataka region is made to depend on trains from/ to Kerala at odd hours with less quota. They are made to book from Kannur or Kasaragod and board at Udupi/ Kundapura etc.
Forget specials. There is not even a dedicated weekly train from Mangaluru to Pune. Should be taken up properly.
There is Poorna Express from Pune to ERS.May be in next 2-3 years we can expect a daily train to Pune and a weekly to Hubli....
Pl go through my blog completely. My point is that both Poorna Exp (Via PNVL & via MRJ) are not a dedicated trains from Mangalore. No specific quota for Mangalore/ coastal KA. I want dedicated Mangalore - Pune trains via Panvel or via Belgaum, Miraj to take care of traffic from coastal KA to Pune.
Why should one wait for next 2-3 years? Are you expecting any miracle to happen? If SR, SWR and KR properly plan, such a miracle can happen even now. No one wants to hear coastal KA's travel needs, due to their own reasons. That is the issue.
