Minapur is a halt station in between Katihar-KIR and Barsoi Jn-BOE via Salmari route. This was MG route earlier which was changed to BG later. Only few passenger trains stops here. Well connected to Katihar and Salmari by roads constructed parallel to tracks. This station has a small ticket counter which still gives the old style card tickets. The ticket counter opens only 10 minutes before train timing adter which its locked and person goes back to his room or for other work may be.
