It must have been definitely 12610. :) Bcoz, I saw 12608 with a WAP-7. But saw 12610 with a WAP-4.
Girish, Nice observations! Katpadi seems to be a heaven for Electric Loco Fans! Is there any train which regularly gets Diesel Loco (at the spot from where you do your regular observations - the one near VIT University)? Thanks in advance!

Only 22601/02 MAS Shiridi Express gets TNP WDM-3A twins. No other train which crosses KPD gets a diesel loco.
