Platform 1 & 2 for Suburban trains 3& 4 for Express trains and fast local suburban trains. Now Guindy Metro station is under construction adjacent to the Guindy station, once the work is completed u need to go towards western side to reach Guindy Metro station near to Platform 1.

if u want to go to Adyar, Anna University, IIT Madras, Childrens Park, Tidel park(OMR ROAD) get down at Guindy station and proceed towards west side of the entrance and take subway, from there share autos, MTC bus facilities are available...

If U want to go to Velachery, Phoniex mall, DLF IT PARK,Porur,Poonamalle, Sriperumbudur go towards eastern side of the entrance (Race course road) share autos, MTC buses are available.
