There are many examples in which train run empty to maintain RSA

Further the Pass been canceled while Saryu kept on running!! Check ARR/DEP Hostory of Sayu ex-MUR..delayed ARR gets cushioned with delay-in DEP!!
& u mean..the Pass ARR FD @ 23:30 & move empty to MUR while Saryu return...

Yes,, this type of empty run happens in some cases... And in some cases trains travel 300 km for primary maintenance...
