on 25th dec 2009 I had bitter experience to travel from Chennai- Bangalore
the train number 2691 bangalore exp is suppose to start from Chennai by 11.30p.m. untill 11.30p.m the train was not placed on platform and no announcement. and the train started only by 12.05 a.m.
I got ticket wait listed through IRCTC booking online. Wht my suggestion here is in the modern day gadget world they should send SMS once chart prepared for wait listed passenger their allotment of coach and seat number

But then what is "bitter" experience in this? Trains do get delayed and such indications are there at Chennai Central. If you are giving an enhancement idea, that is fine.
