Coro was for a fast howrah and chennai connection
Early days it used to halt only at Bbs but policticians in orissa have made it a passenger train now.

It is like a local train in orissa just like some train which stop at every village in bihar.
If coromandel is a passenger train in odisha then what about falaknuma, mas mail, hwh-ypr sf etc? As they have even more stops in odisha?
Agreed it has few extra halts now.. jjkr, tdd halts were not needed, they should be removed..
But still this legend is the fastest connectivity between HWH and MAS by beating others by almost one hr..
So its not like few extra halts has made this legendary train slower..it is still the best of this route.. LHB mil jaye toh speed up bhi ho jaega..
