It is a great move by the railways to introduce an extra 3AC in Tata-Alleppey exp considering the popularity of this train.......now its time that Dhanbad division should also consider this and add an extra 3ac in the Dhanbad-Alleppey rake............this train like its slip rake runs jam packed throughout the year & is the sole connectivity between Dhanbad, bokaro, ranchi to southernmost parts of India.......Just 1 3ac is insufficient to cater to such a large pool of passengers.......therefore the need of the hour is that an extra 3ac would be very much of a relief to tourists & patients travelling south..........suggestions welcome........

Yes agree with the same. Ideal solution is to separate the trains. The railways have been constantly rejecting this proposal and it could be due to some of the following challenges faced
• Availability of rakes. At least 6 rakes in each of the trains required.
• Getting the right time table slot for each of the trains separately since it travels through so many diff zones. It is almost like starting a new daily train !!!
• Since

these 2 trains already run daily and that too for such a long distance, it will present another additional challenge. Had the trains been bi weekly or tri weekly, it may not have so much of issues but getting 2 separate daily trains and that too with separate time slots is always a challenge

The Dhanbad one can run on the existing route while the TATA slip can be made to run via Kharagpur-BBSR-VSKP...
The proposal was there for many years but still yet to see the light of the day. The maintenance standards of these trains have to improve too.

Yes this proposal was there for long. I have heard another version from one of the pantry staff once wherein it was said while the DHN-Allp will continue with its existing run, the Tata Allp train was proposed to be extended till Trivandrum. One reason being mentioned for not having separate rakes was Tata lacking full fledged facility of a dedicated yard/pit line where multiple trains with more than 18-19 coaches can be stationed daily

If delinking of the above trains is difficult then railways should try to start one bi weekly or weekly train from dhanbad through bokaro ranchi to south india with better speed & more coaches because the present train is just not able to cover the rush. ....

Few months ago I had read in a newspaper about introduction of a new train between Hatia and Ernakulam but it's still not announced :(
