Bhai sab ghuma firake North East ko hi connectivity degi because all NFR projects hve.been declared as special project..Darbhanga Nirmali Forbesganj bhi kehne ko toh North Bihar ka project h & NB ko fayda milega hi uss se lkin Araraia Galgaliya/Kishanganj Jalalgarh complete hote hi SGUJ se connect ho jayega which opens yet another freight traffic for NFR bound trains.
Ab aage dekhna kuchh saal mein Darbhanga bypass bhi ready ho jayega parrallel to NH 57 because Loco reversal of freight in a stn like DBG is very tedious job..Patiala se sab se zyada Gehu/Chawal NFR k stns k liye hi load hote h because many of these North Eastern states are still dependent on FCI rice which they get at Rs 2/-kg..khana time p nahi doge toh Myanmar/China se merge ho jayenge otherwise Lumding Silchar project p kitna kharcha uthayi h Govt koi zaroorat tha yeh sab ka?

I really cannot stand such kind of reporting standard from leading newspapers. Atleast they can ask Railway officials before posting such incorrect info. How is Electrification work going to speed up the trains in this sections? I mean IR has enough Diesel Locos that can run at 160 KMPH+ Easily. Even the current TALGO Rake trial is being conducted using diesel locos only.
In reality each section of IR is certified to a MPS. The Loco would not decide if the train speed will upped or not. Its more of a function of the Track condition and the rake used in each train plying on that route than the Loco composition.

yes electrification se jyada important doubling hai..and track strengthning.
