Quite interesting to note that the station masters association wanted the Railway authorities to approve the proposal for receiving all down trains from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. on platform 3 to mitigate the problem of exposed excreta on the track of the main platform.
Is approval required from higher authorities to decide which platforms to be used for receiving and dispatching of trains. I though that these calls are decided by people at the railway station itself [station master etc] ????
