parking fee for bike parked for 36 hours = Rs 7 + 4 + 7 = Rs 18

but this is overcharging as per the tender document and railway rules.
actual rule as per the tender document says
1st 12 hours or part = Rs 7
for subsequent 12 hours or part = Rs 4
So, parking fee for the bike parked for 36 hours = Rs 7 + 4 +4 = Rs 15

This means that parking contractor is overcharging by Rs 3 in this case, and approximately 20% extra on the stipulated charges.
on an average 100 bikes daily, the charges are Rs 100 x 3 = Rs 300 per/day and Rs 9000 per/month (thats substantial money for a tier 4 city) and its all BLACK MONEY.
I have raised the car parking over charging issue in my city, but was left dissatisfied with paltry fine levied on the vendor and wanted to get to the bottom of this corruption ring.

I meet the vendor and tell him how he is overcharging the customers and threaten him with consequences. The vendor says that he has paid hefty bribes after winning the tender to and the concerned senior officials have devised this crooked maths to fleece people.
Dont know how to appropriately fight this situation
