If he has one kid, high chances are that one of the member might be a lady. And if it is so dormatry is not allowed for ladies.
Go through stayzilla or cleartrip, I m sure u will get the accommodation. Indore has lots of good and budget hotels. Search them online.
I stayed in Hotel Chanakya for 1 night. Room tarrif for A/C room was just 600-700₹, I booked through GoIbibo and got this extra discount try looking for cheap/good hotel on GoIbibo you'll find many, also look for verified reviews.
