Presenting the Little Compilation Of Pride of East central railway called VAISHALI EXPRESS
Some trains are better than Rajdhani express..Vaishali express

is the reason that why Vaishali is better than Rajdhani express
People might wonder in waht aspects Rajdhani, Sampoorn Kranti and Sapt Kranti etc train lag behind this Vaishali. I won't blame any one of you for not knowing that. First thing is Rajdhani is merely a service class, not an individual service name and was meant to be different from others since inception. So nothing great in that when someone is born to a royal family. But history recalls and cherishes when someone becomes a king from a humble ordinary family. Vaishali Express belongs to the second class. Secondly after availing so many privileges, Rajdhani fails in representing cultural history of the region it serves, and same goes for Sampoorn Kranti and Sapt Kranti. But if I tell you the history of Vaishali Express, you may look at that train from a different angle altogether perhaps. Of course those things may not be as interesting to you as they are to me, but still those put Vaishali across the edge. The train Vaishali Express was, however, introduced as second in the Jayanti Janata Express train series (which were named to commemorate the silver jubilee of Independence) on 31 October 1973 from Samastipur to Delhi. The train had Madhubani paintings on the specially prepared laminated panels on its coaches. The paintings represented the unique folk-art of the region in which Samastipur was located. An important novelty in those coaches was the placement between the second and third tier of Madhubani paintings fused into laminated panels. The paintings depicted Sita Swayambar in different colour combinations. Those paintings were on the laminated panels and were located on the partition between the middle and upper berth so that painting was in full view of the passenger seated on the opposite berth. The train was later extended to Barauni with slight change in route and rechristened as Vaishali. Present Vaishali Express also has Madhubani paintings at the entrances of its AC coaches and in the coupes of the AC first class but not to the extent as earlier Jayanti Janata. These are just a few framed paintings put on dislplay. But good thing is now they use original paintings on canvas rather than the laminated panels. A treat indeed "
