Congratulations to the heart of Purvanchal aka Gorakhpur.First commercial Boeing 737 starts operating to Gorakhpur Airport ex CCU wef 4.10.16,Spicejet also starts to connect CCU with Aizawl & Silchar from the same day...

Spicejet doesnt have its base of Bombardier Havilland Dash Aircraft in CCU unlike Jet Airways which runs ATR-72 to & from CCU...btw,both Silchar & Aizawl(Lengpui) runways are long enough to cater to Boeing landings..
Yeah it is also offering a discount for 1st month(entire october). GOP-DEL at 3375. But if boeing 737 is coming I guess CCU travellers must try plane journey in OCT.
Its not boeing it Q400. Not only GKP there many location they are starting from CCU
