Good propsoal by the DRUCC member. But it will be more useful if it runs upto VSG.The Udupi rail travelers association lead by Sri Dias also demanding and represented for extending this train upto VASCO.
Many trains on Konkan Rail runs trains like this.

Instead of Kasargod, better they run One half from Subramanya Road to Mangalore Junction. Let Mangaluru Intercity arrive Mangaluru Jn from Central at same time. Link both & run towards Madgaon with Extension to Vasco. Make Intercity to leave after 10, as it would connect Kasargod too.. via 12685 MAS - MAQ SF & Charvattur Passenger.
That's a good news to those from Mangalore and Udupi area residents residing at Vasco and for Vasco people too.
