What is exactly GNWL/AVAILABLE? There is no indication of count. I am trying to book a ticket, but the status says GNWL/AVAILABLE. I tried booking the same after payment Status says WL and Current Status CNF. Berth no/Waiting List is 41,42. Please explain this. Thanks

Means at least ONE seat/berth available.
If booked the seat berth allotment will be done at the charting.
It happens when seats/berths becomes available after entering in to RAC/WL due to cancellations.

Thanks. So if I cancel the ticket now. How the cancelation works one ticket or confirmed will that take cancelation charges for that.
In case of part CNF tickets rule for WL cancellation applies.
But if single ticket booked and status is CNF then rule for cancellation of CNF ticket applies.

If even 1passenger is in wl/rac, cancellation charges will be rs. 60 per passenger irrespective of passenger status.
If the passengers r confirmed, normal cancellation charges apply as per time limits
