बगहा छितौनी के मध्य गंडक नदी पुल 1924 में ध्वस्त हो जाने के कारण बाधित यातायात 72 वर्षों पश्चात दिनांक 16.05.1996 को माननीय अरविन्द शर्मा मंडल रेल प्रबंधक समस्तीपुर के कर कमलों द्वारा उद्घाटन किया गया है।

Any how in coming future Narkatiaganj Junction will have more trains then raxaul Junction . It can be Great again if railway transfers south bound trains from raxaul junction , muzzaferpur junction and Darbhanga junction , by this railway would have to bear less burden of maintaining
and running this south bound trains and obiusly it will benefit champaran region , sitamarhi apart from benefiting tirhut , muzzaffarpur , darbhanga and other Important Stations and Junction enroute .
