My trip from KPD to SBC on 15-10-2016:
We had some personal work at Vellore, so reached KPD by 12680 from CBE that afternoon. I had booked to goto SBC that evening by 12027 for my dad, mom and myself. Reached KPD at 18:30 found a place to comfort ourselves. Immediately after we sat down there was a long honk and a WAG-9 from AJNI came rolling down from AJJ side with a CONCOR rake, it was doing at around 60-70 kmph. 18:50 another CONCOR rake hauled by WAG-7 of ED rushed past us towards JTJ.
Then the announcement was made for 13352 ALLP-TATA express to arrive. After 5 min it arrived on platform 2, behind RPM WAP-4. It was time for 12685 a LHB train towards Mangalore. It arrived at 19:05 behind a P4 of RPM. It was late by half an hour. A huge crowd got down from this train. I think my office goers return home from MAS by this train.
Then finally it was time for us to board our Shatabdi, announcement was made and at 19:15 Shatabdi was pulled in by RPM P-7 #30366 our coach was C-4 and we had the middle seats that is 40, 41, 42 we had the table in front of us. The coach was full, strolled around two coaches for sometime and got into my seat. Then the TTE greeted us with a smile which i never expected i showed him my ID card, he returned it with a smile. And in front of us was a lady doctor from CMC she was kindly requested by him to help in case of any emergency and she accepted readily. Thus our journey started very smoothly. Then the attender came and gave three water bottles. At around 20:15 the dinner was served we had opted for VEG, and we got 2- chapathi's, dhal, subji, rice, curd and pickle. It was ok, the taste was not that good. After finishing it we got Vanilla ice-cream. Finally he again came for tips, I gave him 10 bucks. Which he accepted with a smile. The train was ripping to its best, had a brief stop at Mallanur dont know what was trolling us. Reached BNC at 22:20 it was a great run. Got down there and took an auto to Wilson Garden, where my aunt lives.
