What is the timing rule (I mean any rule that side lower birth should be converted again in two seats after 6 am or anything) about side upper/lower and middle/uppder/lower in 3AC, (I am travelling in Merusagar Exp.)
Thanks

IN 3ac, main doors are open whole time, or closed during night, with lock or what ? Thanks for the reply sir.
Sir, no passenger coach during journey is ever locked with a device openable with a separate key. Yet. Circular slides are there provided to each door of the coaches which make a door not openable from outside.
Still, to my knowledge, there does not exist any rule which prescribes a particular duration through which the doors must be so locked.

Actually the rule book says that the doors of the coaches shall be locked by the TTE in charge during the run, whether day or night, and shall be opened at the stopping stations.. One of the duties of the TTE/coach attendants. Unfortunately these do not find mention in the new TTs (time tables). If I am to retrieve the rules, I shall post.
Good wishes.
Sir,
Right U R. It is a routine guideline for the TTEs and does not change for night. You have righlty said, a lot of duties of TTEs are not being discharged. They are merely concerned with ticking their charts with the present passengers and rest some other non-provided jobs/recoveries, we all face / witness.
