रेलवे के सूत्रों के मुताबिक, ये दोनों ही रूट बेहद महत्वपूर्ण और बिजी हैं। अगर रेलवे अपनी इस योजना पर अमल करने में कामयाब रहता है...
Ah, so 160 kmph trains will run on NDLS-MGS sector! Great, now 110 kmph will be trolled out of the water. I really want to see now how NCR will control then.
Before operating 160kmph trains on the super saturated NDLS-BCT/HWH routes, the section capacity have to be increased.
Even with a speed differential of just 20kmph (130 vs 110), Raj expresses are overtaking a large number of M/E/SF/Passenger/Freight trains. When operated at 160kmph, the speed differential shall increase to 2.5 times i.e. 50kmph. The number of trains standing on loop lines to give through path to these Rajs shall increase drastically. Net result shall be higher avg speed of these few 160kmph trains and lower of average speeds of several other trains which shall be overtaken.

Work an alternate route basically NDLS-MB-LKO-HWH should also be given. Making CNB-MGS route 160 would be benefit only Rajdhani and hand picked trains of route depening on zone preference, rest of trains would continue to stagnate and suffer.
