hwh - vskp has super punctuality. Except some trains from NFR all arrives on times. BZA almost same as VSKP, but some times gets late due to more traffic.
Most important thing is now they say freighters are moving with low overall averages due to crossings so after doubling that would be eliminated. Also the main reason cited for this project is port connectivity so they can increase freight traffic as well which will increase the revenue of SWR.
Regarding passenger service I hope they remove the 20 coach cap here and allow full 24 coach rakes including scope for 22 LHB coaches. That's the most important one. 20 is not enough for trains like Goa express and Amaravati express.

Yes that's what I say RM announced many trains from Madgaon but none from Vasco so that says it all wait till doubling gets over and then they will think on the proposal.
Its the bus mafia constraint.

Karwar and Goa has some bus agencies which fleece travellers. They are SWR's masters. Entire Karnataka especially coastal areas is the grips of politicians owned bus travels. So SWR cooks stories about ghat restrictions for Shiradi and Braganza ghats. Even after doubling, it will be surprising if they allow new trains on that section.

I wish a daily train from Shivamogga to HYB is started (Shivamogga - Kadur - Davangere - Hosapete - Ballari - Raichur - Hyderabad). It will help the entire Malnad region people, as well as Coastal Karnataka folks who will surely travel to SMET for the train.
