Railway refund now in cheque for tickets boked between 9 to 11 november. One more master stroke by Modi Govt.
Online/cheque refund only for 10000+ rupees. This is really a masterstroke. They are trying to be a step forward from these people and they are succeeding too. They know those who booked tickets using black money will not book tickets worth 1000, 2000, 5000, instead they will book more tickets of greatest range to get rid of their black money stored in form of 500/1000, so that they can successfully convert old currency to new currency. So, yes this decision is masterstroke and will provide some revenue too to railways.
Since it is a counter ticket, one must go to counter to collect the cash after the tickets dont get confirmed! Usme bhi black money holders ticket nhi cancel karwa payenge, and waiti list ticket ka bhi fare Railways ke paas pada rahega. Yani Railways ko faaltu me crores of money ka Faayada. Hats Off!!!
