In spite of being top player in software export/ business, Indian track record is very poor in matter of manufacture of state-of -the-art electronic components. It is irony that the Indians, Chinese constitute the top scientists and researchers in USA including the famed silicon-valley. If China could manufacture these components, then why not India?????
Software is more of individual talent and need negligible infrastructure as compared to manufacture of electronic components. So India is world leader in Software but severely lags in Hardware manufacture.

talent has to be honestly nurtured by giving proper environment. Otherwise even the best seed cannot germinate and bear fruits on barren land. The good Indian in USA does a great professional achievement and in India gradually rot to mediocrity.
Our best research/educational institutes in the field of science, engineering and medicine are getting rotten due to more and more political meddling aimed at achieving hidden political and other interests rather than betterment of these institutes of excellence.
If India is to be transformed, then much more needs to be done in right spirit at grass root level. It calls for honest and just governance in all spheres.
