Dear friend, there are a few observation
(1) this train is the best train fro paxs travelling from Bhopal/NashikRoad to New Delhi which will not be adequate to justify the CSTM-NDLS train.
(2) for Mumbai pax it shall be costlier and more time taking (4 hrs more), They will prefer this train only after all the faster trains on WR route are fully booked. Then why unnecessarily loading the supersaturated Mumbai-NK section with this ultra high priority train which shall disturb many other trains on the route?
(3)
...
This train is extremely aggressive being faster than fastest Rajs on the route. If the same train is run with similar aggression on WR route i.e. via Kota, the journey shall be accomplished in less than 15:30 minutes. i.e. atleast 4 hr saving in journey time.
(4) Tri-weekly service between MUM-DEL possible with one rake instead of biweekly. i.e. 50% extra pax carried and about 45% extra revenue for IR and 4 hr time saving for paxs. with Only 2 trips per week with one rake give a poor rake utilisation
(5) Future of MUM-DEL trains on WR route is very bright as far as speed is concerned. When western DFC is completed in 3 years, the freight trains will be taken off the MUM-DEL via Kota route, the slack times of Express trains on the route shall be minimised, top speed shall be raised to 160kmph and the avg speed of the route shall become very high and the Mum-Del journey is likely to be between 11-12 hrs with LHB rake i.e. almost 8 hrs slower.
(6) Arrival time at NDLS is very good, it would be a better option if the single rake to be allotted for the proposed train is made to depart BCT or BDTS at about 15:15 hrs with NDLS arrival at about 6:45.
(7) as a matter of policy it is never advisable to run the highest priority train through much longer/slower route, because the very purpose of ultimate priority (which have bad effect on other SF trains on the route) which is to give fastest connectivity between the cities is defeated.
