When SWR completes the Kotturu-Hosapete gradient work; which of these trains should be re-routed thru Kotturu - Hosapete - Gadag - Vijayapura - Solapura - Daund; instead of UBL-BGM route.

Karnataka Samparkkranti should run 3 days via Hubli-Belgaum, 3 days via Kotturu-Hospet-Gadag-Bagalkot-Vijayapura-solapur, and 3 days via Guntakal-Raichur-Yadgir-Gulbarga-Solapur (as currently KSK runs for 9 days in a week).. then the name of Sampark kranti will be truly justified...
Yes. AP top politicians in 2004 had pulled strings when protest started about the fact that it ran in AP than KA. Approaching elections, made then govt. acquiesce.

Subsequently it was RM Bansal who introduced 2 more to CDG via UBL. Our MPs lack interest or heft to re-route it. More so the migrants from North who use it the most will make sure it runs in present shortest route.

But I have hopes. With approaching Punjab elections and new pitline at Bidar getting ready, a train to ASR/CDG may come to Bidar as it a major pilgrim center to sikhs. Their pilgrimage starts at NED and then come to Bidar then go to HYB to return to Punjab. Hope a new train is introduced from Bidar thru Akola-BSL-ET-NDLS to Punjab.
