Tirupati-Madgaon Weekly Express going to start very soon. SWR approved to run it through Braganza. And as per latest news, 10 coaches rake from TPTY and 10 coaches train from SC/KCG are going to combined at GTL and run as a single train. What is going on, what is this waste idea proposed by SWR.

Agree. It should instead be a VSG - SC weekly. Earlier proposed MAO - TPTY via KR and MAJN weekly would be much useful tahn this 10 slip coaches to TPTY in the route of HAripriya
So, they are ready to run a puny 10 coach rake from SC along with that ultra puny 3+SLR slip from KCG.?
This is what is happening today and don't know what happens tomorrow until it starts.
I don't think they are happy about the rake length, but it's more of an ego battle here as SCR has been trying to get SWR to give permission for a train through it's ghat routes. It's an ego victory for them to get a train through Braganza. I think they should let this be a complete SC-VSG train and the TPTYVSG route should run through SKLR/MAQ as was proposed.
Ego war between the zones. SCR taking it hard to heart, because once thats their kingdom, and now SWR zone obstructing their proposal. In my point of view, SCR playing a One shot Two bird theory here. First take this slip option and start from both TPTY and SC. Later on show some operational issue with the TPTY portion, suggest to run a full rake from SC in the same slot. Now this TPTY-MAO train was initially proposed by the Goa people, then the egos of Ministers come into place, asks SCR, they suggests via Shiradi this time. Gotcha!!😎
