Gauge-Conversion Update (AISHBAGH-SITAPUR):
Progress in GC work is now seen at various locations in LUCKNOW. The GC is scheduled to be completed nearby April-May'17 on this route. I happened to pass through Jankipuram Area in Lucknow and visited MOHIBULLAPUR station. I was pleased to see the sleepers being laid with the rails placed on top. The length of platforms was increased. A footover bridge was under construction. Platforms were to be filled. A new station building was already constructed besides the older MG time building. Although there was no effective work going on at the location. All the work seen was either done or partially completed and left. No workers, laborers were seen.
