more... outside the station gate on the reservation side (PF 2) to the left is a famous little hotel called Raghavendra Stores. You get fresh piping hot south Indian dishes like Idli-Uddina Vade, Khara Bath, Kesari Bath, Pongal, Bisi Bele Bath and the best of them all
Shavige Bath - a spicy vermicelli based dish with grated carrot, capsicum, peas, fried groundnut... All these dishes are accompanied with green-chilli chutney which is gratis. Idli costs 10 rs. Vade 15rs, and all other dishes are 25rs.

After this you can wash down the spices with some hot coffee/tea 7rs (half), 14rs (full). If you are into healthy beverages or unwell or have cold, you can order Ginger Kashaya (herbal drink) - 7rs (half), 14rs (full).
Or you can just walk past a few shops to a Nandhini shop (KA govt. milk federation shop) and have some cold flavored milk.

The hotel is a small one - no seating, you need to stand and eat or sit on the station compound. When trains arrive it will be crowded with office goers mainly.

If you are in hurry to board a train, then you can ask for parcel which will cost you some 5rs extra.
Timing: Morning 7-12, again evening 4-8 pm. Tuesday holiday.

In sab dishes ke saath green-chilli chutney milti hai jo bilkul free hai. Idli ki keemat 10 rs hai. Vade ki 15rs, aur saare dishes ki keemat 25rs hai.
