If 16517 / 18 goes via the shorter route, then it will be the shortest route to bangalore compared to 16527 /28 which goes via coimbatore. The best option i feel is to run seperate train 16517 / 18 skipping mlore central and going via mlore junction, thus avoiding all loco reversals, and 16523 /24 via mlore central.
SWR is already running a train from SBC to CAN via CBE. So, SWR should run a full fledged train to KAWR via new line. The new TT train can go Via MAQ. From MAQ, SR can run any number of trains to CAN. For MYS pax to MAQ and beyond in KR, a daily train can be run from mysore upto VSG or LTT via Konkan. Atleast now, there should not be any more reasons.
SR can be asked to run a train from NCJ or TVC to SBC via SRR, MAJN, MYS. Distance is 1055 kms, as against 920 kms by island express of SWR. The shortest route via MDU is 743 kms. Considering the benefits to SR TVC and pgt division travellers, SR can run a train via MAJN.
divert some trais from SR in this new route ypr-hassan route , let these old trains runs on the same old route make yeshwantpur vasco daily and make it run 5 days on this route, two days it is running via hubli and introduce mysore-viyawada/ kachiguda train via hassan instead of bangalore it will bring congetion down also and new line will get new trains
Congestion is directly proportional to increasing number of travelers, more demand more trains.
