In this post I will update the progress of doubling of Hubballi-Chikjajur and Arsikere-Tumakuru sections.
-
In this first post are pics from Hubballi South to Savanur stations and also of doubling progress. The pics are in the order from SUBL to SVNR.......
- Land levelling has been done at many places, is on at some places.

But mainly work is on to eliminate LCs and hence a lot of RuBs and some RoBs are being built.
.
Also check the progress of SWR's another new line : /blog/post/2251173 that I visited yesterday.

progress at all places is in terms of RoBs (some are big flyovers) and RuBs.

One of the pic - where the flat ground level PF is seen with FoB is Amaravathi Colony Junction. It is from here that the newer (2014) line to Kotturu deviates. My co-passenger said PF was of low level because goods loading is planned at PFs. Passenger PF was on other side, also the deviating line.

Arsikere-Tumakuru.

Here is the best part. The work on this section (most needed to reduce congestion) is going on at a fast pace. Between ASK and TTR tracks have been laid at many places and other work along the section like bridge construction is on at night too. Since it was dark, not many pics could be taken. At TK, 4th PF is completed.

Thanks very much for the updates. Any idea if the tracks will be LWR or CWR? If it's CWR, I hope 130km/h mps can be granted for current and possible future LHB trains (YPR-JP suvidha, TPJ HS).
