What a glory this train has!!
It was first introduced as ICE between vijayawada and tirupatilater it got extended to secunderabad later to nizamabad and finally now it is running between Adilabad and Tirupati
As now state got divided a similar train should be introduced between parvatipuram/parvatipuram town to tirupati

Thanks! I wasn't sure of that. All the sources I checked had it as SC-GNT, but one or two had it as Hyderabad-Vijayawada. I presumed the two cities were just mentioned casually to indicate connectivity and not as the exact terminals. Thanks for providing the additional info!
I do remember seeing it as HYB-TPTY. We used to cross it while traveling by Gautami in both directions.

One more interesting point. IT was also the first train to run with electric traction on Gudur-RU route after it was electrified. I think it used to have a loco change at RU as the RU-TPTY section wasn't electrified at the time.
