This was my point, thank you for bringing in. We all know how busy is Wadi - SC line trains from Mumbai/Pune uses this heavily, instead they would chosen RC - GWD - KCG route and halt at KCG is same as halt at SC. But as Saurabh mentioned above end-to-end eloco may be the problem if it runs via Gadwal.

I understand that, maybe after KCG GWD is electrified later on we can expect diversion, already its a bit slow it can use a shorter route.
