Can I travel from Andheri to Borivali in Flying Ranee, I need to catch another long distance train (Avantika exp) from Borivali ? I am traveling with my family so boarding local will be a problem.
Is there any other option ?

what makes you think it is easy to board Flying Ranee??
It is full of many daily travelers, so technically there is not a huge difference between this train and local. This also means that, while you can travel, it is definitely not easy to do so.
A better suggestion would be to take cab of some sort, and leave in advance to avoid the perennial traffic jam on WEH

Bhai take an ola or uber from Andheri to Borivli...considering u are with family.
Thank you for the suggestions, even the first class coach of the local will be crowded around 5:45 PM (sorry asking too many questions, I've never been to Mumbai before) ?
Actually my flight will land at Mumbai airport at 5:15 PM, so I thought I'll take local from Ville Parle or Flying Ranee from Andheri.

Everything in Mumbai is crowded at that time, WR/CR or local/long distance.
As mentioned, it is preferable to take a cab, you'd anyways need one if you wish to Vile Parle
