How many stations have platforms on both sides of a single platform line (So, that train uses two platforms at once)? Are they beneficial in any way ?

no neither 8th nor 9th share the single track..but 8th is extended part of paltform 1
Sry .. at first i thought this post was abt single platform nd double line at which both up nd down trains can share.. den i understand that it was abt a train nd each side platform
