Bt the line is passing thru the forest reserves. Der is a tiger reserve. N d no. of tigers remaining in India are very very less. It is to be seen whether this project will harm der natural habitat or not.

If this line gets sanctioned, next pressure will mount on Talaguppa - Honnavara line to provide faster connectivity between Karwar/Konkan and state capital Bengaluru. Current connection via Mangaluru is taking around 18 hrs.

Yes, and if at all they need a connectivity to coastal KA (with Shirdi ghat and Braganzha ghat saturated), then Talaguppa - Honnavara line should be laid, which will be a smaller line with far lesser impact on western ghats.
