* It appears to be a political activity, not the people's sentiments. Earlier Shivsena did it to prop its electoral prospects in Maharashtra by raising Marathi sentiments among the people.
* Only border states are facing the heat of the activities of hostile neighbours and their sponsored terrorists. People are dying every day from across the border firing/ mortars. Safe states which are far from borders probably does not understand the importance of the strength of nation and its army. At this juncture, any Indian can ill afford to overlook national interests.

We Indians have very poor memory and fail to learn from history, that once upon a time it was among the richest/most developed region of the world. Due to lack of integration, it was conquered by outsiders and plundered for centuries to ultimately become a nation of poor people. We need to learn importance of national integration lest we are conquered again by the hostile outsiders.
* Love all languages, but the only languages which can bind the nation from East to west and north to South are Hindi, the desi one and English, the videshi one. Both are required, former for our emotional attachment & conversation, later to ensure that our nation is technologically abreast with rest of the world.
* Signages in 3 languages- local language (2 languages at bordering area), Hindi & English are the best option.
