Recently Rameshwaram got a new train to Faizabad but still it lacks direct connectivity with the 4 main metro cities of india.
Here is the first connectivity of Rameshwaram with Kolkata and north east. This train will also serve as the 2nd direct connection of Dibrugarh with chennai after DGRG MS exp, which runs jam packed all through the year, and will also connect the MS-RMM section with North east and many important cities like Vizag, Bhubaneswar, etc for the first time.
