Just like some Duronto Expresses (which has AC+Non AC Compartments), Shatabdi Express should also have Non-AC Chair cars. That way, many Shatabdi trains will not run empty and railway can make lots of money. Do you agree with me? Vote in the poll

* Clientele of Rajdhani/Shatabdi/Duronto trains was increasing at a fast pace since last 2 decades. Frequency as well as the number of coaches of most of these trains have increased over the period of time.
* But with the introduction of Flexifares, the number of paxs in these train have reduced significantly instead of maintaining the increasing trend. Had flexifares been withdrawn, patronage of such trains shall jump sharply and many more such trains shall be required to meet traffic demand.

I agree with what most of the people said here, flexi fare is indeed an issue which makes travelling in this trains a pain sometimes. Also agree with the empty post thing. They should be filled ASAP.
Instead of this, I think the time has to come to scrap non performing trains such as Shatabdi and Duronto. Also along with this, some suvidha and SFs too are needed to be scrapped. This may decrease some capacity on tracks giving other trains some much needed room. Also the old rakes of these trains can be used in giving LHB rakes to other trains.
A very good idea indeed. However, regarding some Duronto, it may be converted rather than being scrapped. Like Amrtisar Chandigarh Duronto Express was converted to Amritsar Chandigarh Superfast Express
