Those who are making their end to end journey (from SBC to MYS) in CC coach. Better to book in Shatabdi in CC class.
Rajya Rani CC fare: ₹ 260 (normal), ₹ 240 (in Current availability)
Shatabdi CC fare : ₹ 305 (With lunch), ₹ 225 (Without lunch).
So basically, Shatabdi without food is always cheaper, and 1 hour faster. (Depart SBC 30 minutes...

SBC MYS and AII JP sector has many volvo buses. So, IR was in loss due to flexi fare system in Shatabdi. Hence to give a competition, IR has exempted these 2 sectors from dynamic fare.
I expect to do this even in following sections (1 station being the capital city of the state) served by Shatabdi:

No lunch is provided in Shatabdi.And most of the pax prefer to travel by 2S just because of the ridiculous fare of CC
It is very much provided. Check in IRCTC. Catering charges as ₹80. So, with optional food scheme now, you can get ₹305 ticket in just ₹225 without opting for food.
Moreover, that's why i said, this tip is only for CC passengers of SBC MYS section. Shatabdi is cheaper, faster and better option than Rajya Rani.

No I recently traveled by shatabdi.Even if you choose no option for food while booking then also it's ₹305.Lunch is available for ₹70(Veg Biryani), ₹90(Chicken Biryani), ₹20(Tea/Coffee)
The tip is applicable for SBC to MYS only. But if you travel from MYS to SBC, then in current availability without food, the ticket will cost Rs 295.
