Introduction of YPR-BIDR express in a time slot such that 12627 follows behind, weird loco links till DD, increased stoppages and the ever delayed run. This prestigious train has lost its charm. Traction change nowhere to be seen in spite of majorly electrified route. Hope the King regains it's charm very soon..

Yes, all mainline diesel-electric locomotives in IR have dynamic braking. All the ALCO's have had dynamic braking since their inception in the 1960's. The short hood for the ALCO's contains the dynamic braking grids used for dissipating power. Except the WDM1, all mainline diesel-electric ALCOs (WDM2x, WDM3A-D,WDP1,WDP2/3A) have dynamic braking.
