In this news report click here they say IR has 5000 locos, 1400 E-Locos and rest - can be run by electricity as well as by diesel.
Are they talking about dual mode locomotives?
IR doesn't have dual mode locos, isn't it?
I thought IR still hadn't manufactured any of such type locos, but planned for it click here

Looks like they are. But all the numbers are wrong. The total number of electric locomotives alone is more than 4000, and diesel locos are even more in number.
