What if IR introduces proactive upgrade within 48hrs and also upgrade by paying difference outside 48hrs?
When I say proactive upgrade it means upgrading to next available class by paying a discounted price if there are seats available in next class. For eg pax booked in SL can upgrade online to 3ac 2ac ot 1ac for discounted X amt within 48hrs.
Similarly pax can do online upgrade to next class before 48hrs of travel by paying the difference of the fare as well.

will have benefits like as currently pax is upgraded to next class without a charge so IR can make some profit out of discounted fare and many pax choose to upgrade in the train and can stop manual upgrade as well so no chance of extra money being charged by TTE on trains.
