yes a noon train from madurai to egmore can help many people to travel to chennai
also the same train can be arranged to travel from egmore to madurai in the morning (similar to kovai express / coimbatore intercity express)
and the MDU - POY section had trains earlier to and fro CBE through out the day ., now the section is under utilised
