The biggest beneficiary of this electrified route which is about to complete i.e. Erode-Karur-Tiruchirapalli
1.Chennai Egmore- Managalore Mail.
2.Trichy-Palghat Town Passenger.
3.CBE-MV Jan Shatabdi. Electric loco only up to Trichy and Diesel thereafter.

The 90% works are complete between Erode and Trichy, few works at stations are left, which will will be completed soon. CRS will be done anytime within this month or by February.
Trains going towards Madurai will have to wait till the year end. At present the work between Erode-Karur-Trichy is only complete and the work between Karur-Dindigul is incomplete, but it is progressing good.
Similarly the work between Salem-Karur is in initial stage,foundation works is being done.

How can the trains going towards Dindigul, Madurai and Nagercoil Junction be benefited by the CRS between Erode-Karur- Trichy ?
Karur-Dindigul is separate route and is under electrification.
The work of electrification between Karur-Dindigul and Salem-Karur will gain momentum only after work between Erode-Karur-Trichy is 100% complete.
