Daund bypass line which is already sanctioned is waiting for the land acquisition which fall under Pune Collector Office.
As per the news new chord line at Daund along with extra platform on chord line is sanctioned, but work is not yet started due to land acquisition.
This line will save loco reversal at Daund and saves 30 - 45 mins journey time.

Yes.. they will construct new platform on chod line as per the news which is used to alight Daund Passengers.
Seen some earth work going on between Pune and Manmad track on 19th August, when I was travelling by Jhelum express. Its alignment was passing through north-west corner the railway factory present there. Next time I will click photos and create video of the same.
Yeah.. I have also seen some leveling work from Pune end till Sleeper Factory of Daund.
