Yes, just commenting on this loco's uniqueness.
Now I got the answer click here in the loco history it says it was WDG4 (wider cab), now it seems it is modified to WDG4D.
So is this the only loco to be modified from WDG4 to 4D ?.......

No. None available on net.
Also to note is that WDG4 as per IRFCA, never belonged to any shed - it says NIL. But 4D is SBI.
So my inference is that it may have been with DLW themselves for testing etc... and then later on modified as the first 4D???

12681 was a prototype locomotive. Regular production commenced with 703XX series which started almost a year later. That's the reason for the out-of-sequence loco class in numbers.
