ranges widely, from upto 72 metres for straight track, to as low as 27 metres for curvy ones.
generally, on straight tracks you'll see 72 metre span, and somewhat lower (the reduction in span is in steps of 4.5 m, so span will reduce like 67.5, 63, 58.5 etc) when there are curves.
