Today, 10111/12 Konkan Kanya Express completes 21 years of its non-stop service... All the best wishes to the dearest queen train of Konkan Railway for its future journey...

This train used to run between Mumbai - Sawantwadi Road initially as 0111/12 before completion of Pernem tunnel and then it got extended upto Madgaon as Konkan Kanya Express on 25th January 1998 increasing its number of coaches too. This is what I have read somewhere in the newspapers and also in some previous blogs on this site itself. There can be scope for corrections if any as I haven't personally seen the train running on 20th Jan 1997 with my own eyes. Anyway, I wish for her betterment and upgradations.
